Chateau Jouvente

Chateau Jouvente is a family estate of 8.7 hectares, nestled in the heart of the Graves. We practice a responsible agriculture with the follow-up of a program in bio-control and the obtaining of the High Environmental Value certification (HVE-3). Each harvest is hand-picked. Fruity and complex, with character and freshness, our wines are typical of the Graves appellation and are regularly awarded (Concours général de l'Agriculture, Trophée des Crus de Graves, Concours des Vignerons Indépendants, etc.).

Château Jouvente is also a place of oenotouristic, cultural and artistic meetings. Throughout the year, you can visit Château Jouvente and taste our wines, both our whites and our reds on recent and mature vintages, as well as the Sauternes of Château Roumieu. Finally, we offer a cultural and artistic program related to our profession of winegrower, sometimes original and unpublished. Chateau Jouvente has been nominated, in 2021, in the top 100 of the Trophées de l'Œnotourisme, organized by Terre de Vins.

The visits

"Terra Cognita" Visit

This is a visit that focuses primarily on the vineyard of Château Jouvente, our terroir and the work that is done in the vineyard.We focus also on the wine rising process and you will discover our white wine cellar which was a jail under the Ancien Régime! Tasting of 4 wines of the domain and Sauternes Château Roumieu.

Time: 30-45 minutes

"Transmission" Visit by Jouvente

This is a technical visit that covers all the areas of life and operation of the estate: vineyard, harvest, winemaking, maturing vat room. This visit is followed by a tasting offering the privilege to discover up to 6 wines (old and recent vintages, 4 colors: red, dry white, sweet white and rosé 2 AOC: AOC Graves red and white, AOC Sauternes).

Treasure hunt : On the trail of Jouvenceau

From the Easter weekend until the end of October, it's time to go on the Jouvenceau trail. A way to discover the vineyard, the heritage, the vat room and the cellars in a playful and family way. With a map of the estate, you will search the clues scattered along a friendly and stimulating route... and you will find the treasure chest that will reward the children. The game will end with a tasting of white and red wines from Château Jouvente and sweet white wines from Château Roumieu. Depending on the number of correct answers obtained, get discounts!
